Rules and guidelines for InnoTech26
Everything you need before you register: who can take part, how teams work, the eight categories and what you can win.
Who can participate
InnoTech26 is open to students of KIET, students of other colleges and school students. KIET teams compete at the department level first; teams from other colleges and schools go straight to the Grand Finale on 30 October 2026.

How to register
Every student registers on their own first. The team leader then builds the team from their account.

Create your account
Every student registers individually and completes their profile.

Form a team
The team leader creates a team and picks one category.

Add members
The leader shares an invite link on WhatsApp or anywhere else; teammates open it and join with the team code.

Submit the team
Once 2 to 5 members have joined, the leader submits and the team is locked.
Team rules
- 1A team has 2 to 5 members.
- 2All members must be from the same college or school.
- 3KIET teams can have members from different courses and branches. The team belongs to the leader's department.
- 4A team can register for only one category.
- 5A student can be part of only one team.
- 6Once a team is submitted, members and category cannot be changed.
- 7If any member withdraws, the team is not considered further.
- 8KIET students must register with their official @kiet.edu email.
- 9There is no registration fee. No reimbursement is given for project materials.
The eight categories
Each team registers for exactly one category. Sub-topics are guidelines, and new ideas are always welcome.

Prizes
Cash prizes worth ₹3.4 lakh+ from a prize pool of ₹5 lakh+. Winners also receive trophies and certificates, and every participant receives an e-certificate.
